Acknowledgments
Writing these acknowledgments has been a salutary reminder of the importance of the collective to the individual. Few of the ideas that follow are truly original - most have been borrowed, stolen or unconsciously absorbed.
To all those vehicle dynamics engineers and designers who recognize something of theirs within these pages, I owe a broad debt of gratitude.
While these widespread sources are far too many to enumerate, I thank those visionary designers and engineers who share my philosophy of vehicle dynamics and especially the importance of understanding how tyres work.
